Brief Details:

Dr. Sharad Patel currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental and Water Resources Engineering at University Teaching Department, Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai, C.G. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur, M.P. and master’s degree in Civil Engineering from S.V. National Institute of Technology, Surat, Gujarat. Further, he obtained his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, Maharstra. He has more than 3.5 years of experience as a researcher and academician in the field of Groundwater flow modeling and management. He has also published around 10 papers in international journals and conferences. He is actively involved in the various government consultancy projects awarded to the EWRE department of CSVTU, Bhilai, C.G. 

Research & Teaching

This presentation starts with the self-introduction which highlights my academic background and research experience. Then in the outline slide briefs the overview of the entire presentation. This presentation is divided into two segments i.e. research and teaching segments. In the first segment, the research problem is introduced with its short background. Here it is also highlighted how the limitations of the existing studies were helpful and encouraging in carrying out this research work. Later a methodology has been proposed to solve the existing problem and it is presented step–by–step to achieve the objectives of the study. The proposed methodology has been applied to various problems and the outcome of the study is presented in terms of research papers. This segment ended with emphasizing the significant conclusions drawn and the ultimate outcome of the research work. In the second segment, the topic of groundwater hydrology is presented to showcase my teaching skills. Subsequently, a teaching plan suited to the Department of Water Resources Development and Management is presented based on my specialization. Finally, this presentation ends with my research and project credentials.

Dr. Vamsi Krishna Vema

  Brief Details: Dr. Vamsi Krishna Vema is currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Civil Engineering, NIT Warangal. He worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Purdue University, USA, prior to joining the current position, with the focus on reducing nutrient loading in the water bodies using a cover cropping system.
