  Brief Details: Dr. Vikas Poonia is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), Indiana, USA where my research focuses on extreme events, particularly to develop a novel approach to define flash drought and conduct flash drought investigation to examine flash drought occurrence, distribution, drivers, and trends as well as their impact on the crop production and irrigation demand over 25 river basins across India. A large part of my doctoral research focuses on the analysis of joint drought events using advanced statistical and probabilistic techniques and with the concurrence and evolution of all major drought types.  My past and current research have been mainly focused around two broad points.     Brief Details: Dr Mahesh Patel received his B.E. in Civil Engineering branch from the Samrat Ashok Technological Institute Vidisha in 2010. He has completed his M. Tech. in Water Resources Engineering and Management discipline from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2012, and PhD from the same institute in 2017. At present, he is working since Jan 2018 as an Assistant Professor Grade – I in the Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Jalandhar (Punjab).   Brief Details: Dr. Rajhans Negi is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Environmental and Earth Sciences, Tel Aviv University, Israel. His research focuses on operation and sustainability assessment of water and wastewater utilities. Rajhans completed his bachelor degree in civil engineering from G.B Pant engineering college, Master degree with environmental engineering specialization from IIT Guwahati and PhD in environmental science and engineering from IIT Bombay. In his PhD thesis Rajhans performed environmental and economic assessment of wastewater recycling alternatives in urban water systems.   Brief Details: Dr. Abhishek is currently working as a post-doctoral fellow in the civil engineering discipline at IIT Bombay. He joined IIT Gandhinagar to pursue Ph.D. from July 2016 to May 2022, directly after completing his B.Tech. from NIT Patna. He was selected as a start-early Ph.D. fellow in the civil engineering discipline. He was also selected for the Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF) in 2018. He taught Fluid Mechanics to undergraduate students for a semester as a Graduate Trainee Fellow (GTF) at IIT Gandhinagar.
